The Great European Map of Scotland is a crowdsourced project celebrating Scotland's connections with the rest of Europe. It features stories about places of interest, annual events, remarkable individuals and treasured local businesses. Together, these stories show how close European ties shape and enrich Scotland, from the earliest times to the present and the industries and technologies of the future.
The name is inspired by The Great Polish Map of Scotland, a vast relief map located in the Scottish Borders. It was built to recognise the hospitality shown to Polish soldiers during the second world war.
